Our Mission and Founder
In 2024, Backyard Pyar emerged under the visionary leadership of Sima, the founder of goodindiangirl.com and a recent graduate of Harvard Kennedy School. Jokingly referred to as the "other" Sima Auntie, she brings a unique perspective to love, enjoying a "later in life" approach. Recognizing a collective yearning for more meaningful connections beyond the tired bars and clubs amongst her single community, Sima embarked on a quest for a fresh paradigm for folks who have willingly aged out of that scene. But Backyard Pyar isn't solely about dating; it's an event that is really meant to slow us down and reconnect with our environment. Our goal is to seek solace in nature-inspired spaces, slowing our pace to truly connect with those around us, embracing the beauty of simplicity and genuine human connections.
